[foxboro] fetching string

Hi list,
 
Does anybody know how to extract form Excel , a string data.
I mean : I collect in Aim history database a lot of values, as anyone, and
some string values (from DEP bloc: XXX.SN0001..9). When I try to extract
these values from excel, with AIMHistdata.xla add-in ,I have this error
returned :
 
##GetTimeLinearData returned error
 
Via a OLE link (AIM datalink started) same result or Value 0 !.
 
How can i do ???  help
