[foxboro] WP Single Ethernet

We have a couple of WP51's running single Ethernet because upper folks
didn't want to spend the money to hook them up dual node bus. 
Occasionally one will "smurf" for a random period of time.  I can find no
hardware problem. It will go back on line all by it's self.
I was blaming it on Nodebus traffic, just as a guess to what the problem may
be.
Has anyone else had this problem with single Ethernet WP"s.  Is there a fix
other than investing the money to hook it up dual?
