I am cleaning up a data base that uses only device group 1 in all
compounds execept two that use group 2 or 3.
However throughout the blocks, device groups 2, 3, 4 ,5 and 8 are
being used as a null device group ( no devices defined ). Also found
several blocks that use device group "0".
Questions:
1. Is there any effiencies or problems using any of the device groups
as null? I started standardizing on group 8 before running into the
group "0" usage.
2. some of the compounds have selection of devices for groups 4
through 8, however none of the devices are defined in the Station
Block. There does not seem to be a pattern to the device selection -
is this possibly crud picked up from an upload or maybe system or user
using these fields for other purposes?
3. is there any informations in documents that discuss these issues?
Thanks
