Usually in these cases the cause for the problem is to be found in the
environment. Make sure, that your script is run in the same shell as =
you
tested it with (usually I use the bourne shell so the first line in my
script is "#!/bin/sh").=20
Try a test script, which just dumps the environment in some file in =
your
test shell and then start this from crontab (remember to rename the =
output
file between the two tests. ;-)
E.g. (untested, maybe "printenv" is in /usr/bin)
#!/bin/sh
/bin/printenv >/usr/tmp/myenv
Examine the differences of the two outputs. Often it's a missing PATH =
or
DISPLAY variable in cron jobs.
