[foxboro] Sanity check on Go Global

I find myself asking ore and more questions that I hoped I would never have
to ask lately :-( Well here goes another.

I'm under the impression that unlike Hummingbird, and Exceed (which are
native Microsoft Windows X servers, that speak native X client server
protocol), Go Global is different in at least 2 major ways.

1. It requires both a client and server obtained from them, and speaks a
porpretory protocol over the network between them.

2. Using Go Global lets me have the entire Solaris desktop on my PC, with
having to use xdm on the Sun side.

Are these correct?

What if any is the advantage of using Go Global (either for me as an end
suer, or Foxboro) instead of a genuine X server on my PC?
