Hi List,
Has anyone used successfully the PIDTAU (MODOPT 8) algorithm of a PIDA =
block? I have a process with a significant dead time and tried to use it =
instead of the traditional PID (MODOPT 5), but it doesn't seem to work =
reasonably. The response to a setpoint change (assume positive) is a =
movement in the output increasing, then cutting back (like an overshoot) =
and setting in a final value. The whole process takes about the time =
specified in the DTIME parameter. From then on the output doesn't move =
to correct the error, even though there is a significant one. I don't =
know if this is due to my tunning or if there should be some =
comfiguration changes to the PIDA that I didn't make.
Any hints will be appreciated.
