We are currently planning a major upgrade to our IA system, and seeking any
information regarding challenges others may have encountered with similar
upgrades.
Plans include upgrading:
IA V6.5.2 to V8.x
FoxView/Draw V9.01 to V10.x
9 - node Linear Mesh & ATS to full Star Mesh (N3, N1, A switches)
38 - WP51D to P92
15 - AW51E to P90
42 - FT CP60 to ZCP270
FCM10E to FCM100E
19 - FT MB gateway to FBM231
23 - MB+ gateway to FBM232 (via MB+ to TCP/IP gateway, ProLinx 5303-MBP-MNET)
Recently we found that to upgrade the CP60 to ZCP270 we also had to upgrade our
P0914XB vertical baseplates (< Rev. D) with AG100YB kits (new baseplates,
label, instructions) plus power cables.
This information was found as FAQ54 and SOL292 on the Foxboro Global Support
website, even our
Foxboro Service people did not know this essential information.
We have approximately 150 baseplates to be changed out, which is an additional
high risk and labour intensive task during turnaround.
So with this information we found by chance, we are wondering if anyone knows
of any other items to be aware of
or that we should research more, based on the brief description above.
Any experiences are appreciated.
PS,
If you need to find the Revision level of the P0914XB vertical baseplate, it is
located on the back center in
the DIN rail slot. If your baseplate is DIN rail mounted it must be removed
from its mounting.
The information I have is Rev. E started production 1/18/2005 which may have
include a P/N change too.
