I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas.
I have to make some modifications to a legacy historian...mostly to existing
points already in the historian. I want to keep my downtime to a minimum.
What is the best way to go about these modifications.
This is what I have done thus far...
I have created an ASCII file, from the existing historian, and made changes
to this file. Then I uploaded it into the historian. I knew I would get
some errors because of the points that were already existing but it did not
make changes to the points that I wanted to make changes to.
Do I need to delete those points from the historian first and then upload
the modified ASCII file into the historian? If I do this will it keep the
existing index numbers? ( I want to retain the history of the points I am
trying to modify).
