[foxboro] Job opening at Tesoro Hawaii Refinery

The Tesoro Hawaii Refinery, located in Kapolei on the island of Oahu,
about 20 miles west of Honolulu, is looking for a Process Control
engineer with Foxboro I/A experience.  

Below is a job description copied from our internal job posting site:

The Process Control engineer is responsible for all Advanced Control
Applications throughout all processing units in the refinery.

Key Responsibilities Include:

*         Working independently to accomplish the tasks and objectives
set forth by the process engineering supervisor and technical manager. 

*         Identifying new profit opportunities from unit optimization
and introducing new technologies to the refinery. 

*         Must be able to work with a team of multiple disciplines to
scope, justify, plan and implement control system projects. 

*         Base loop tuning, technical support for DCS control systems,
PI system administration, and support for process engineering and
operations as required. 

 


Qualifications


Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, computer science or other
relevant discipline.  Minimum 10 years of process control and process
engineering experience within the petroleum refining industry preferred.


 

Additional Requirements Include:

*         Good background on base level regulatory control and
instrumentation.

*         Experience in DCS Control system.

*         Familiarity with computer networking.

*         High level of analytical and problem solving skills.

*         Good organization, documentation and communication skills.
