[foxboro] IEE - CP Initialize/download time way too long

Hi List
Is anyone here using IEE (Infusion Engineering Env.) for control
configuration?

We are using IEE v1.0 for our current upgrade project.

One of the biggest problems I am seeing is the time required to
Initialize and loadall to a CP. IEE has a 3-step process now that requires
picking/clicking as each of the 3 steps. The new terms are 1)"Add Cascade",
2)"Prepare All" & 3)"Deploy". This process is taking me over 4 hours to
complete these 3 steps.

         I don't find my CP's overly loaded. CP's are between 6-10 compounds &
each compound has less than 80 blocks. I don't even have any PLB blocks or
sequence blocks.

There is a scripting API called "Direct Access" (similar to
ICC-Driver-Task) that has documentation for "Deploying" however this API is
very buggy and doesn't work at for deploying (entire CP's or even an individual
compound). So I have no choice but to baby sit the windoze GUI waiting for the
next task to complete so I can pick & click it on to the next task.

Is anyone seeing these sort of times? Is this normal? (how I miss the
ICC days of 5-10min loadalls) I have 8-CP's that are under development and
about once or twice a month I get a new Galaxy server image that forces me to
initialize & load 8-CP's.

How do I get it to load faster?

Thank You,

Peter Bruley
