[foxboro] Greetings from the Invensys Showcase

List,

The weather is here, wish you were beautiful. First of all, for those of
you who are here, the Cassandra group is trying to get together on Wed at
5:00. Dave Johnson is checking with Foxboro as to where we can meet. We
are planning on posting the meeting place on a sign on a tripod near the
entrance to, (probably just inside) the demonstration area. If we cannot
get a tripod, look on the round tables behind the Microsoft booth (our
"last chance" meeting place.) We have always met with the appropriate
beverages, so if anybody has ideas on that, leave a message for Dave or me
in our rooms. [ed. my room? are compound nouns joined with "or" considered
singular or plural?] Maybe the bar could open early. Potential topics
include:

Local user groups: Where can I find one? What works and what doesn't. How
can users help users.

The Fall 2002 Goodies CD has been pressed. However there are
omissions. It includes apache, netscape, perl, tcl, tk, various c++
compiler versions, gzip, gmake, mysql, perl (the 5.8.0 just released!),
samba, and the index of downloads from the Cassandra site. It needs tcsh,
vnc, and others. Let's have some ideas people! The CD is mountable on
Unix and Windows, so the sky's the limit!

Apt, amiable and applicable agreements about the acceptance of "Architected
with Archestra", answered with appreciable alliteration.

Other items. I can't think anymore because my brain hurts from that last
paragraph.
