There are occasions when one partition of= a mirrored disk pair will
report
the status of Nds=5FMaint.  Us= ing the metadetach and metattach commands
will
usually correct this p= roblem.

Note: The following procedure was done on a AP50.  The = same procedure
will
work on a 51 series but the Metamirror and Submir= ror device  names will
be
different.

Run the dft show=5Fs= tatus command to view the mirrored status of the
system's
hard drives= :

21AP50# metadetach -f /dev/m= d0g /dev/md8g
Metadevice /dev/md8g is detached.

Note: Now run met= attach int the background to attach and re-sync the
submirror.

Note: Executing= multiple dft show=5Fstatus commands will show the
progression
of the= re-sync process. The final status should reflect a state of Okay
if
= no errors were encountered.

Hi List,
Could anybody out there send me a complete restore = Procedure for 
Qf991274D.
I have a backup Tape taken fewdays back ( W= e normally take backup every 
quarter) and would like to restore it to a= AW51C 9.0GB Hard drive.
Problem : The Harddrives shows needs=5FMaint er= rors in /opt Partition, and

would like to Restore from a fresh backu= p.
I/A Version is at 6.5.1.
Day 0 CD for V6.4 and Release update is a= vailable, Note our 9.0 GB 
Harddrives are mirrored.
