[foxboro] Foxboro's Batch Software options

Folks,
I am involved in the planning stages of an expansion to an existing
multi-node, 50 Series, IA System at Version 6.1 and would appreciate your help
and
advice on our available Foxboro Batch Software options. The existing system
includes RBatch and two separate projects are under consideration;
- The 1st project requires a major expansion (almost 1/3 of existing
system size) to the existing process and therefore the RBatch subsystem. We
are
guessing our best option is to stay with the existing RBatch product on this
one. No RBatch upgrade or conversion utilities/tools are available?
- However, the 2nd project (independent and unrelated to the 1st
project) involves adding a new Batch process to an existing Node; where no
Batch
Software presently exists. We are guessing our best option is to go with
Foxboro's latest Batch Software product on this one.

Unfortunately, Foxboro Sales has not been very forthcoming with a response to
our request for details on their latest Batch Software product offering. For
example ...
-      Is FoxBatch or IA Batch Suite (what is the difference between the two;
or are they the same product?) available on the 50 Series platform? If only
70 Series, how well do the existing 50 Series Stations interface to it?
- Is FoxBatch or IA Batch Suite available on Version 6.1; or is an
update required? What is the impact of the upgrade on the balance of the IA
System
installation (RBatch not supported? PWs? etc.)?

I realize there are a number of major issues, and a Foxboro Batch (?)
presentation is planned, but just curious what your experience has been with
the new
(?) Batch Software and any required upgrades to support the new Batch
Software.

Thanks in advance for your insight and advice ...
