[foxboro] FBC Card Problems

Hi All

I am interested to hear from anyone who has encountered problems with FBC's,
especially IPM26's.

We have had a number of failures of these cards in the last 4 years, on
investigation of a recent failure we found that cooling fans should be fitted
under the FCB chassis, ours do not have these! Does anyone know if these fan
units should be one per chassis or one per set of chassis.

We also noticed that in our fault tolerant configuration (2 x FBP10's, 2 x
IPM26's) that we only have one PM20, from reading the documentation it appears
that we should actually have 2 of these cards per chassis, can anyone explain
what the PM20's do? Are they anything to do with the switching of power if an
IPM26 fails? If not does anyone know how the switching mechanism works for these
units?

Thanks in advance
