All wise and all knowing list:
If you remember back a few months ago, I started a thread about reading Modbus
extended register addresses into a Micro I/A or FBM224.
We ended up purchasing a protocol converter from http://www.fieldserver.com/ .
It wasn't cheap but did the job. You define data tables and map the register
addresses as needed. After some initial fiddling, we have it working.
One advantage is that it takes 232 and 485 signals and will convert to
ethernet, 232 or 485.
Please contact me off-list if you'd like any more information.
Regards and thanks to those who answered.
Regards,
Rick Mol
