[foxboro] Device Relationship Manager ?

Over the last several years we have upgraded/added new stuff to our I/A
system (AW/WP51F, CP60/270 w/200 series I/O, AIM* Historian, Foxview
graphics, Mesh/Windows) but for various reasons have not upgraded our
original FoxWatch remote diagnostics back to the mother ship in FoxMass.
One reason is that we'd been encouraged to wait on Plant Sentinel until
it was ready for prime time, and I'm glad we did because (based on
presentation at the 2006 user group meeting in Dallas) it now appears
that DRM is the next generation and we might have saved ourselves (and
Foxboro) time and effort and $$ by waiting... =20

On several occasions in/after December I've had discussions with our
regional field service folks and the product manager, and requested
'What does it take to get one?'. I was recently told that there are 5
already installed in the field (with more slated), though apparently our
site is not near the top of the list.

Anyway, DRM is timely for us because we are also in the process of
migrating towards a corporate process control network
architecture/security model and the DRM installation/considerations fits
right into this overall planning and discussion. And, being a remote
site in Alaska with limited staff and without local IPS support (nearest
service rep is one full days' air travel away), DRM's faster more
powerful remote diagnostics and support is very important to us. {Two
months ago we did upgrade the modem to a router, but we need more, this
is just temporary, plus I want to get rid of those darn Comm10s!!}=20

So, my questions to the group are: Does anyone on the list out there
have a DRM yet, and how did the installation go? Are you scheduled to
get one? What are your thoughts/experience on this? =20

Any feedback is greatly appreciated...
