We currently run DMCplus 1.11 on Foxboro I/A Ver 4.3 on AW51 series
stations. While exploring the
upgrade strategies, we came to know that Foxboro has migrated the DMC
applications to Connoisseur ,
whereas Aspentech has their latest DMC plus 4.x
This latest DMC engine runs on Windows NT platform , which could not be
integrated to I/A Nodebus.
The possible workaround is to have an AW on the Nodebus to Interact with
the NT machine. The AW
on the Nodebus will have to act as the DMC bridge running AOS and API,
which will also be hosting the
operator graphics on the WP's on the Nodebus. In this setup, one needs to
build the models on the
off-line NT machine and manually transfer the controller files to the AW .
We are looking at a full-fledged solution using on-line DMCplus
Controllers .
Your comments are welcome.
