We have faced similar problems, and in certain cases rebooting one of
The FT pairs could resolve the problem . One of the probable reasons
Could be the CP going out of resources (IPC channels not available) .
You May investigate further using rsipc utilities .

Subject: [foxboro] Cyan Displays
We had a rather unusual event earlier this week and I was hoping that
someone might have seen something similar and can offer some
explanation. I was called by our field supervisor who told me that the
workstations on all 4 of our nodes (which are connected via a carrier
LAN) were getting cyan connections when displays were called. I called
up a stations display from a CP to an AW both on another node and it
also displayed cyan connections. After checking the system I found a CP
that was failed in system management but was still "green" at the
modules. When this CP was rebooted all of the problems stopped and
everything has run fine since. The thing that is particularly curious
is how a failed CP could cause errors across several nodes.
Any information about a similar problem or any ideas on how this could
happen would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Terry
