We are looking down the road and thinking about what upgrade plans we should
take for a future cold mill outage.
Given a small number of nodes (let's say 2 to 6), that are at, or will be
at either version 7.x, or mixed version 6/7 software. In order to provide
data sharing, and graphics access between the nodes, would it be better to
simply connect their switches with uplinks, or to build a "core" V8 node,
and use ATS'es to connect the nodes?
Assume all of the V7 and mixed nodes will have switches by then, and there
will be no nodes that are just "classic nodebus".
