Hello and merry Christmas to everybody.
I have a small question for you all.
Is it possible to have a pre-configured workstation as backup and whenever
another workstation fails for any reason, to change its name and RCNI
letterbug and insert it in the network.
For example:
Let's say that we have a WP60 with name WP0001 and an RCNI connected to this
workstaton with the same letterbug, of course. Let's say that we also have
another WP60 with the name WP0003.
The question is, can we remove WP0001 computer from its place and then
connect to the RCNI (with letterbug WP0001) the other computer having
modified its name from WP0003 to WP0001?
I tried it once but it didn't work. Is there any way to make this happen?
Does anyone of you have any spare workstations? If yes how is it configured
and how muck "ready" is this workstation to be connected to the network?
Have anyone ever tried to work with the Norton Ghost on a fully functional
workstation that uses SCSI hard disk? If yes did it work
I tried to ghost a workstation but i get the Blue Screen.. many problems
with ghost..
Thank you all and wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Dimitris
