[foxboro] [ANN] Foxboro I/A Master Timekeeper synch tool

The following tool has been placed by Duc into the Cassandra Scripts and Tools
Archive under the "C Programs" (by type) and "Maintenance Tools" (by
functionality):

xsynchmtk-1.0.0.tar.Z
<http://www.thecassandraproject.org/archive/xsynchmtk-1.0.0.tar.Z> (100 KB),
read_me <http://www.thecassandraproject.org/archive/xsynchmtk.txt> [v1.0.0
07/22/2002] - shell script xsynchmtk.sh plus binary programs ccimktime and
set_mtk. Retrieves the current date and time from a well-synched time server
via rsh and updates the Foxboro I/A Series Master Time Keeper using utility
program set_mtk <http://www.thecassandraproject.org/archive/set_mtk.html>,
ignoring time zone differences. Assumption is that the LOCAL timezone on the
time source server reflects the "experienced" time to be set for the node.
Includes sources, make files and executables for set_mtk and ccimktime.

We typically run this script (actually, a version bundled with our systems
monitoring tool kit) during the server boot sequence and then on a daily basis.
The script includes sample cron definitions for daily runs plus two special
runs to handle the large corrections during STD/DST transitions in the spring
and fall.

I'd be glad to lend some assistance with setup/installation issues.

In the future, I may extend it to allow use of an NTP-based reference date/time
feed - just need to find the time and access to a non-critical Foxboro AW
system to test some ideas to work around the timezone difference issues.
