[foxboro] AIM* Historian / Datalink

Bill wrote

Does anyone have a method to save a historian query so that you are able to
adjust the time range, sample frequency and add/subtract points at a later
time? I tried to use the AIM* ODBC features, but found that the queries
are
extremely slow and the feature is also unstable.

I have tested the Aim\* ODBC functions with PHP scripts. PHP is a
scripting language mainly used on web pages. On a windows PC I installed
apache (a web server) and php. Then created some php scripts that use
ODBC calls to generate html pages, which is quite simple. Getting the
query correct is the hardest part. I mainly tested it to get alarm
messages out, but I did get data from RTPs out also. You could use PHP to
manipulate the results of your query, or you could put a form based
frontend on it, and I guess there would be nothing stopping you from
generating graphs using gnuplot or something.
