Hey everyone,
As an add on to Jeremy's request to get some Windows users to speak
at the Cassandra meeting at the users group, I would like to hear the
following from someone.
Best practices for installing and maintaining WP70's on a nodebus network.
I have been to 3 plants recently that use a combination of Solaris
AWs and NT or XP WPs on a nodebus network. At each of these plants
moving displays to and from the WPs is different. Sometimes it's
different even on WPs on the same node. The configuration varies
pretty widely, and user tools to copy files around are pretty much
nonexistent (ftp to/from Solaris and drag and drop over the
nodebus). Sometimes the WPs are in a common workgroup, sometimes
they are not. I'm sure someone has put some thought into setting one
of these split systems up. I just haven't met them yet. So if
you've got a set tools and techniques that work for you, I'd be
interested in hearing from you. If you aren't going to the
conference, write it up on the Wiki.
Thanks.
David
