Hi list,
We have started to migrate from IAS 6.3 to IAS 8.x. The new plant from
our site if fully in IAS 8.x and ATS cards are used to connect nodebuses
to the new MESH network.
The old plants will still keep their nodebus hosted my some AW51B and
AW51D. The nodebus system will be kept a few years more.
My question is: which policy to maintain thes workstations? Stock items
that compose any workstation (hard disk, motherboard, ...)? Get new Sun
workstation that can keep safe IAS applications (what about the waranty
from Invensys Foxboro then?)? I'm not interested by the solution P92 +
DNBT because there is not supervision anymore in theses places
(centralised supervision, nodebuses are linked by a LAN network).
I hope my question is understandable enough.
Bye.
Stevan
