No problem! You should stop by the shop once you get it in, I am right behind
Brunos Pizza now.

IBM usually has good linux support and I found this quickly
http://intellinuxwireless.org/?n=downloads linux drivers for the Intel. I also
found this http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1384577 so you may need to
download them.
Or you can always switch it out for an atheros and be very happy, have a happy
lappy!

I was looking at the Lenovo E520. It has the option of either a ThinkPad 1x1
b/g/n WiFi adapter or an Intel WiFi Link 1000.
Do you know which adapter is better to get in terms of Ubuntu compatibility?

Chuq thanks for the ideas.
I looked at Dell, HP, and Lenovo today and am strongly leaning towards a Think
Pad.

Core i5 acers are a real good cost effective thought. Personally I have
repaired many of laptops and the ones that have the least problems in my
experience are lenovo and acer actually. I saw core i5 lenovo the oter day new
for around $500 or so.
Hardware wise the acers work well with linux, most of the time having atheros
chipset wifi cards.
If you are interested in anything let me know.

Good morning List, It is now time to replace a laptop. I am looking for
recommendations on hardware that will minimize the dual boot hassles. My first
