Hello all, Rachel has given me the names of those of you interested in attending the Passover meal this thursday evening. So far I am aware of : Caroline Turner, Dave Ireland, Doug, Naomi, Carly, Simon, Luke and Sara, Luke's sister Katy and myself. If there is anyone else then please let me know ASAP so we know how many we are catering for. Venue: Room 4 in the Church Centre Time: Start preparing food at 6pm and aim to eat around 7pmishwe have to be cleared up by 9.30pm. Also there is quite a lot to organise so I would really appreciate some volunteers to help provide various items for the meal proceedings. If I could have volunteers for the following roles it would be very helpful: (We will be following a scripted order of service) Leader 1 Theres quite a bit of reading for this role so preferably someone who doesn't mind that. Leader 2 Hostess Child (Usually the youngest person present) I'm thinking that might be you Naomi? Correct me if I'm wrong :) Someone to print out some songs for a time of worship/ muscial accompaniment if possible but not essential. Volunteers also needed to provide the following food items Lamb - Luke and Sara have kindly volunteered to do this Vegetables Roast potatoes Charoset Parsley Enough for a small mouthful each Romaine lettuce Horseradish - Hard boiled brown egg - Laura Matzah bread/waffers Candles - Laura Red wine or grape juice - Laura Basin of water - Laura Salt water - Laura I'm sure it will be a really special evening and I'm really looking forward to it! Once we know whos doing what I'll be in touch with more information, but in the mean time if anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me 07803034398. Love Laura. x --- On Wed, 13/4/11, Rachel Tanner <rachellucytanner@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: From: Rachel Tanner <rachellucytanner@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: [eyeswideopennetwork] Passover To: eyeswideopennetwork@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Wednesday, 13 April, 2011, 9:42 Hi everyone, Last year we did a network passover meal which many people enjoyed as a way of remembering the Jewish traditions and customs which Jesus followed. It also enables us to further understand how Jesus fulfils a lot of the prophecies in the Old Testament. It would be next Thursday (21st April - Maunday Thursday) and we'll get together in the church centre, share a meal and go through the ceremony. Who would be up for coming along and contributing some of the food? If anyone would be able to help organising everything that would be great too. Let me know tonight or reply to this email. Thanks Rachel
