Perhaps I can make a suggestion here.

Try looking through any exchange book at all, to find the answer. This
forum is for people who have researched a particular problem and need
some assistance thereafter, rather than for the incredibly lazy.

Why we neet SMTP virtual server/SMTP service or Exchange 2000.

Can't we use ISP's DNS settings on the E2K server machine only to send
mails.

what makes SMTP so important in any mail servers ?
