I think more importantly, why do you want to allow an attachment that if a user clicks on it could: 1. Send itself to everyone is your address book. 2. Send all your personal data to somewhere. 3. Use your computer for attacks. 4. Control your computer. 5. Wipe out your data. 6. Etc.
