It is possible. We use it like this: dial-up to isp, establish a VPN connection to our firewall (works also with win2000's vpn server), open outlook. -----Original Message----- From: LH [mailto:LH@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, June 04, 2002 7:37 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] synchronizing Outlook via ISP connect? http://www.MSExchange.org/ - Re-Vamped! Hi, Currently some of our traveling users send/receive their email using Outlook by dialing directly into the server (using RAS). Although this works well, it of course becomes a problem when one person is connected. Others cannot (they get a busy signal). Does anyone know if it's possible to use Outlook 2000 to send/receive email via an ISP account? That is, they would send/receive their mail on the corporate server but instead of dialing directly into the server they would connect via the Internet. Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: robertb@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
