Please trace back to see if you installed/un-installed ANY software, I
repeat any software that you thought would not affect the functioning of
servers. You may have done it long ago but NOT re-booted your servers
since those changes wait for re-boot to take effect. Since you say your
problems occur after a re-boot, I feel this could be a possible
solution. In case you HAVE made changes to software, see if you have a
backup and restore the same, if you have not made any changes, I suggest
you contact microsoft paid support and talk to them.
Hope to help and learn,
Srivas

Subject: [exchangelist] still no dns proxy bindings
http://www.MSExchange.org/
hi all,
last night I shutdown all servers and work stations and rebooted just
the win / exchange 2000 server
in the event log it still tells me that the dns proxy will not bind the
tcp/ip address
in danger of repeating myself but
I have no firewall
no routers
( at the moment )
I have checked that the net settings are correct
our systems were working perfectly as they were till a couple of days
ago, I altered nothing, till the mail server crashed and since then
nothing but trouble
anyone suggest anything I can do to resolve this problem ?
regards
steve alcock
