As long the SMS enabled phone has an email address like
122345678@xxxxxxx you can always configure an In Box rule which can
forward the email to the SMS enabled phone. The SMS phone phone's email
ID needs to added to the Contacts list of the user who is forwarding the
items.

I am running Exchange 5.5 sp4 on windows nt 4 sp6a. 
  
Some of the users want to receive SMS on theri cell phones if there is
an e-mail from their Boss. We r working in two time zones. The users
want this facility to serve them when they are away from office.
 
I know that few Mailing Portal like REDIFF.com do this. Can it be done
on Exchange.
