Unless you swing it off to another machine, deinstall Exchange, demote
it, reinstall Exchange, and swing it back on.

Hi Michael,

Does this mean I am stuck with that machine being a controller?

Appreciated

Executing dcpromo on a computer where Exchange Server 2003 is installed
is not supported.

Doing so will break several things, including anything dependent on
ASP.NET.

Hmmmm no, there are issues removing AD from an exchange box....check the
MS KB Site, can't quite put my finger on the relevant article just now.

Hello everyone,

Just to be cleared! There are 3 server and all 3 are domain controllers.
PDC,MAIL,BDC. PDc is holding the FSMO rule. If I want to demote exchange
box a domain master, all I need to do is running dcpromo ,right?

Exchange 2003 running on server 2003.

Appreciated :-)
