Hi Hery, It would appear that you are trying to test the connection from your own mail server via telnet - you can't do that with relaying disabled, although it may be possible with the AUTH command, haven't tried it. More important would be the NDR. What was the error code, ie. 5.5.1 etc. Jamie. -----Original Message----- From: Hery [mailto:hery@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, 26 August 2003 7:22 PM To: [ExchangeList] Cc: Exchange2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [exchangelist] relay problem ? http://www.MSExchange.org/ hi guys, i'll try send emial for someone at kimglass.com. but it has returned to me. then i try to send via telnet, and got this error (like on returned email) : 220 win2 Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service, Version: 5.0.2195.6713 ready at Tue, 26 Aug 2003 02:56:49 -0700 helo 250 win2 Hello [203.77.230.178] mail from: hery@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx 250 2.1.0 hery@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx OK rcpt to: info@xxxxxxxxxxxx 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for info@xxxxxxxxxxxx quit 500 5.3.3 Unrecognized command 221 2.0.0 win2 Service closing transmission channel what make this error occured ? rgds, hery ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: jabyrnes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
