Exchange 2003 also supports RBL checks natively AND does it before the message has been accepted for delivery. Some see this as a good thing, some see it as a bad thing. We run 2003 and I'm now building my own DNSRBL server and several "honeypot" email accounts.

I use CanIt-Pro as my spam filter and it has the capability of doing an LDAP
lookup against my Exchange 5.5 server.

Vamsoft has a low cost DNSbl checker and has a third party script on their
site to do an AD lookup
