Hi, This is regarding the mail delivery to internet. When a user sends out a mail to a recipient on internet the mail travels via a bridgehead (E2K) server and goes out to the internet. I have observed that when a user has got mail size limit set to 5MB on Mailbox server (E2K), he is allowed to send mails as large as 5 MB. However, when a user sends a mail which is around 3.5 MB (having outgoing mail size limit of 5MB) bounces back from the Exchange server, not from the Mailbox server where the size limits are set, but from the bridgehead server which talks to internet using SMTP connector. I have started tracking the messages on both the server and found that the mail size observed on internal Mailbox server is actual i.e. 3.5MB. However, when the mail reaches to bridgehead server the mail size exceeds 5MB and the mail gets bounced from the server. Using message tracking log, I have found that the mail size for the same is quite different on both the servers. Can anybody help me why the mail size increases while it's traveling to a bridgehead server????
