Robert I am using MailSecurity and MailEss 9 on my exchange 2003 server, I have configured my settings to send suspect email to my email account for me to approve or delete the inbound mail. The problem is that in the button of the pending email it allows me to select; approve;delete etc...when I select approve the web browser tries to open address 127.0.0.1:82/././. etc.....how do I edit the config to put the LAN IP of the mail server so this function will work?? Thank you. -----Original Message----- From: Robert Abela [mailto:robert@xxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, January 15, 2004 10:18 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: l-o-n-g reboots http://www.MSExchange.org/ If it takes long to stop you would find out that the problem is from exchange. Check the event viewer also. I would clear the event viewer, both application and system (saver them) and reboot. On reboot check if there are any non-common events. Michael Salim [mailto:msalim@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, January 15, 2004 3:49 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] l-o-n-g reboots http://www.MSExchange.org/ Hi, We have a "stand-alone" Exchange 2003 server (Enterprise) running on Win2k3. It is not a busy server, has less than 20 users on it and the total mailbox sizes are under 50 megs for any given user. The total store size is also small, under 200 megs. There is nothing else running on this server other than Ex2k3, i.e. no other apps, SQL etc. etc. This is a dedicated stand-alone exchange server, and even the DNS and Active Directory are all on the same server, i.e. no "front-end/back-end stuff". It is a P4/2.4GHz with 1GB of RAM so it is not a dawg. It behaves just fine normally, fast response to send/receive, etc. Nothing unusual except one thing: it takes a-g-e-s to reboot if and when we need to do it. Last time it took nearly 20 minutes to shut down. Coming back up took another 10 minutes. Is this normal? Why does it take so long to reboot? best regards Mike Salim. ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ This mail was content-checked for malicious code and viruses by GFI MailSecurity.
