There is one OST per user profile. Outlook access the OST when you have
"Cached Exchange Mode" checked in the MAPI profile.

Do you mean where is the OST stored? It's at:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.ost

(by default)

Hi Michael,

Thanks! That was very helpful. How do you access the OST? Is that
even possible? Or desirable? I assume there is one and only one OST
per profile? (or per user?) (or per workstation?)

best regards
Mike
