For this application, I'd just EXMERGE it out to a PST file.
ie Download Exmerge, Give appropriate permissions (e.g. administrator
send-as and receive-as) permissions to the stores, then run Exmerge and
export chosen mailboxes to PST files.

Hi Ben,
If you using NTBACKUP then you cannot backup individual mailbox, and
while restoring you need to restore whole storage group. For that you
need to use recovery storage group. Then you can merge whichever
mailbox you want to restore.
For individual mailbox backup you need to try third party backup
software like veritas....

Hi
We do evaluation for the windows 2003 exchange server and need to
return evaluation machines. We want to backup user mail box and contact
info and restore to new server later. I check windows 2003 backup, only
backup whole database, MDBDATA , cannot find how to backup only
individual user mail box. How to do it? and could I restore individual
user mail box for other exchange 2003 server?
