John,
If you use the DL internally only, then you can enable a restriction in the DL
to accept messages only from a particular list/group of people. This is what we
do restrict access to large DLs in our set up.

Raj

If I remove the email address, then I no one will be able to send to
it. You need to have an smtp for internal email. I still want to use the group
internally, I just don't want internet email coming to this group.

All you have to do is delete the e-mail address from it. DLs
doesnt need to have an e-mail address, it works fine without it, at least in MS
Exchange 5.5

http://www.MSExchange.org/ Over the weekend we received some
junk emails to our distribution
                lists. For example, salesgroup@xxxxxxxxxx
order=down&sort=date&pos=0> . There are X amount of users in
this group and they all received junk mail. I have filtered
this address
out, however to prevent this in the future is there any way to
stop
this group from receiving email from outside?
