Hi,
 
I recently had a similar problem. where on a restore the database kept
saying that it was inconsistent.  the things to  try are as follows.
 
1.    if you are using microsoft backup make sure that you have checked
the last back set.
 
2.    if this does not work, Microsoft advised me to do the following
        
        delete or rename the following folders and try restoring the
database again.  MDBDATA in the c:\program files\exchsrvr and the log
files directory.
 
 
the second option work!
