exchange server 2003

hai all i am having widows 2000advanced server with more 500users and
exchange server2003 on it. and i am having a additional domain controller
i am not at all connected to any external network
my problem is when the domain controller goes down there is adc but
when exchange 2003 fails what to do what are thw ways to take backup
.please tell me what are the steps can i take to recover or is there any
system just like adc
