Hoan, The log files keep data that is written into the PRIV.EDB database, until the database is fully backed up. The idea of keeping the log data is, in case your PRIV.EDB file crashes or gets corrupted, you can restore the last full backup of PRIV.Edb, and play back all the data from the log files. This way you will roll forward your PRIV.EDB up to the point when your PRIV.Edb crashed. In other words virtually you don't loose any data in your Information store. When you enable circular logging, some of these log files may be over written before a full backup is done. When this happens, when you restore the last full backup, you loose all data in the over written log files. The users will find data missing. Will I runing to the risk of losing data if I perform a restore?
