Seems unlikely one would have 10 DC's for one domain in one site. So
the secondary DNS should be any other reliable DC in the same
site/domain.

Exchange on a DC should be avoided whenever possible. Most larger
shops don't have DC's do anything but being DCs.

Otherwise, the DNS referencing rules don't care what other applications
or services may be running on the DC.

Oh, that is some scenario I didn't think of. Basically even if you have
10 domain controllers, each individual first should be pointing to
itself and then going after others, right?

What about the case that exchange is also a DC, should it point to
itself first? Thanks

C)

DC1: pointing to itself, then to DC2

DC2: pointing to itself, then to DC1

Would someone clarify this for me?

When you have 2 domain controllers, which of the following is right for
dns order settings?

A)

DC1: first pointing to itself, then point to secondary

DC2: first pointing to DC1, then pointing to itself

B)

DC1: first pointing to DC2, then pointing to DC1

DC2: first pointing DC1, then pointing DC2
