Thanks Oluwaseyi. The distribution list is actually working. It only failed to deliver once, as I described. I was asked to investigate what could have happened at that particular time. This is where the problem is. I can't explain what could have happened. I was actually able to track the e-mail up to the point where it delivered to the two individual addresses and failed to deliver to the receipints in the distribution list. If the mail is delivered the problem should be with the distribution list and you can try recreating the distribution list from Active directory.
