What Operating System are you running? Have you installed the latest SP for
your OS and exchange??
The passwords are not set in exchange or on the mailboxes but rather on the
OS - Be it in Active directory or Windows NT User Manager for domains.
Exchange relies on this for authentication. By the time the user gets to
their mail clients (outlook) they would have already been prompted to change
their passwords.

Hello
Can anybody please let me know how to configure a welcome message for a new
user in Exchange 5.5?
I give a default password for all new mailboxes created, and would like to
send an email to the user ( the first time he invokes outlook client),
asking him to change the password,
Also, I have checked the option for "issue warning message" ( Exchange 5.5),
when the mailbox size reaches a certain limit, but the user does not get the
warning message.
Can you please help me out with these issues?
