How come I can see my M drive , and that is also how I know when my store is 
down or not

I would suggest a quicker safer method than going into the M drive. If
the 15,000 mails in the mailbox are expendable, you can go to AD and
from there delete the box and recreate the mailbox again, and then go to
ESM, purge the old box and reconnect the new box

The M drive is not there, it is invisible, you can't see it......leave
it alone....don't touch it
