It sounds like you have a DNS issues, but you really need to tell us what
errors you get when you try to send mail.

I have recently installed Exchange 2000 to host my own mail server for my
business, i have adjusted the recepient policy for my smtp addresses and
did some work to my smtp virtual server, i am able to receieve emails, but
i am not able to send any out of my exchange system. also i would like to
know how to let users connect to my server over the internet and download
thier emails.
