Hello I just came to this place, but what they are doing now is having 2 external USB drives and backup to those and switch drives every night so in worst case you get one day lost. Also backup with verify and done full every night. I think a full 7 GB a night is a little over kill. Don't you think so? _____ From: John Tolmachoff (Lists) [mailto:johnlist@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Sunday, January 02, 2005 10:42 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: Windows Backup http://www.MSExchange.org/ For 50 users, one DC is fair, one Exchange server is fine and NTBackup is fine. However, while the elements are fine, it also depends greatly on the backup scheme used and disaster recovery plan. This would include things such as tape rotations, offsite tape/backup file storage and so forth. Now I thing I will say is if at all possible, it is always better to have at least 2 DCs running, and even better if one is located at a different location. Then, in the event of a disaster, recovery is much faster with AD already running. It depends on circumstances. If you have 1000 users, not it is not. If you have 10 users, it is perfect. Do I have to be aware of any settings?
