I am backing up over the network, I have a dedicated Backup Network
running at Gigabit speeds. I also have tested backup to disk and backup
to tape and both are slow.
When I run an information store backup of the same server I get tape
speeds of around 650 - 700 mb per minute
The exchange server is a dual zeon 3.6gb server with 4 gb of RAM. I have
monitored the performance of this and appears to be running really well

That seems slow are you backing up via network or tape drive attached
either way you are slow. What does your backup solution consist of.

Hi All
I am trying to find out the average speed of a backup when backing up
exchange mailboxes, We have roughly 100gb Database and the backup is
only running at 40mb per minute
Can anyone else provide any information on the speeds they get from
backup exec?
