Since this is happening when they are outside of the network, chances are
the e-mail client is not configured with SMTP server requires
authentication.

Subject: [exchangelist] Unable to relay

http://www.MSExchange.org/

Dear All

I have exchange 2003, and I am hosting my email on it ..

The users can send an email to every one and every host while they are in
the network . .

When the client is out side the organization they can send only to the
internal users when they are trying to send an email to outside domain they
are getting

550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for <mailto:user@xxxxxxxxxxxx>
user@xxxxxxxxxxxx

I configure the relay in the SMTP virtual server to have an user permission
to relay to the server

Any help will be appreciated
